FERCISPPCo: FERC has issued a decision cited as Order 888A in which it acts favorably on our claim that we are entitled to access on SPPCo's transmission system up to our full power requirements. This resolves in our favor the matter that we had described to you a few weeks ago. We now believe that it is highly likely that we will be able to bring lower cost power to Truckee during the coming summer. This is another significant victory for us. 2. NCPA: /am continuing to work with NCPA to implement the provisions of AB 1890. l am hoping that we will be able to list AB 1890 items on our next workshop and begin the process of determining policies that our District will follow relating to electric industry deregulation. • 3. IBEW negotiating. We made significant progress at our last two negotiation session with the employee union. 1 am hopeful that agreement can be reached at the next session. 4. Town of Truckee sphere of influence document: l am now spending quite a bit of time on issues that recently arose regarding the Town's draft sphere of influence document. This matter may take up more of my time in the coming months. 5. Water Department Superintendent: i have spent time with Ed Taylor helping him make a smooth transition into his role as our new Water Superintendent. i am confident that Ed will be able to help the water department become better organized and improve their performance level. 6. Sale of surplus equipment: Attached is a memo which summarizes the recent sale of surplus equipment. We received$14,750.40, which is better than we had expected. PLH/smc
