HomeMy WebLinkAbout5 Boca Hydroelectric Project T . September 30 , 1993 TO: Board of Directors FROM: Peter L. Holr ,neister, General Manager SUBJECT. Boca Hydroelectric Project AGENDA # 5 Please review the attached hand-written note from Nan Nalder of R. W. Beck. She is informing us of the filing of an application for preliminary permit to construct a hydroelectric plant at Boca Dam. The application has been filed by Alex Gulab representing The Continental Group of Roseville, California. As you may recall, TDPUD once held the license to construct the hydroelectric plant at Boca. We surrendered our license because the draught made it impossible to satisfy the required time table. We also believe the project to be financially marginal at best. Still, it may be to our advantage to file a formal intervention in the matter with FERC . simply to receive information routinely. It will allow us to monitor progress and comment if necessary. The cost for Bob McDiarmid to file the intervention is less than $1,000. RECOMMENDATION I recommend that the Board authorize Robert McDiarmid to submit an intervention on behalf of TDPUD in FERC Project Number 11427-000, Boca Darn Hydroelectric Project.
