SUBJECT. STAFF REPORT
AGENDA
A) Proposed sale of Donner take Utility Company
Attached is a letter that was sent to customers of Donner Lake Utility Company. It says
that Del Oro Water Company is buying Donner Lake Utility Company. I am trying to learn
more about Del Oro Water Company since we may be neighbors. I am also interested
in learning the term of the sale. I will share information with the Board as I get it.
B) Budget report
Attached is a budget report through the end of June 1992. Since this marks the midpoint
in our budget year, we will spend a few minutes at the meeting going over the report. We
are about to begin work on the 1993 budget, so it is a good time for staff to take a look
at how we are doing.

CUSTOMER NOTICE
Dear Customer:
Notice is hereby given that Del Oro Water Company (DOW) &
Donner Lake Utility Company (DLU) have jointly filed Application
No. A. 92-05-041 with the California Public Utilities Commission.
This application seeks authority to transfer ownership of DLU to
DOW and to extend the current service area of DOW.
DLU is presently owned by John B. Williams III, who would
like to get out of the water business . Mr. Williams" desire to
sell is due to the increasing demands on his time for
administration of operations of the system and the complexity of
the regulatory requirements as well as a desire to devote more
time to personal and family interests . DOW, a California
corporation has operated as a regulated public utility water
company in Califrnia and is very familiar with the regulatory
requirements .
if you have any comments upon or objections to the
proposed sale you may submit them in writing to the Commission at
the following address:
Martin C. White, Program Manager
California Public Utilities Commission
3rd Floor

Correspondence to the Commission should refer to
Application A. 92-05-041 . To be considered, such communications
must be received within 20 days from the date of this notice.
