Since the funding for this project is scheduled to come from the COP financing, I respectfully request that the Board take the following action: RECOMMENDATION: 1. Holzmeister, General Manager T: Staff Report AGENDA # 12 A) SALE OF DONNER LAKE UTILITY COMPANY Attached is a notice announcing a public meeting to be held by the staff of the California PUC regarding the sale of Donner Lake Utility Company to Del Oro Water Company. The meeting will be at 7:30 PM on October 7 at the Truckee Donner Recreation and Park District Community Center. 1 will attend; Directors may find it interesting also. B) CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF FORESTRY LEASE TERMINATION A question was raised at the last Board meeting as to whether the CDF had given us proper notification on termination of their lease. Attached is a copy of the appropriate section from the lease indicating a 120 day cancellation notice is required. CDF notified us in August of their intention to vacate our building, so they have complied with the terms of the lease. C) SPPCo RATE INCREASE PROPOSAL Attached is a notice from the Sierra Sun announcing that Sierra Pacific Power Company has filed a rate increase request with the California PUC. We will follow this matter and let the Board know how our rates stack up relative to SPPCo's rates. PLH/smc Attachment UD } 18 1992 SEPTEMBER 15 , 1992 (Date) NOTICE OF PROPOSED SALE OF DONNER LAKE UTILITY COMPANY AND PUBLIC MEETING BEFORE THE CALIFORNIA PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION STAFF Donner Lake Utility Company (DLUC) has requested authority from the California Public Utilities Commission to sell all of the outstanding stock to Del Oro Water Company (DOWC) . The Commission's staff will hold a public meeting at the TRUCKEE-DONNER RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT COMMUNITY CENTER, CLUB ROOM T U EE: CA. on OCTOBER 7 , 1992 at 7 : 30 PM to explain the sale process and receive public input. The Commission staff will make a thorough investigation of the company's request. Following the investigation, the Commission may grant the company's request or may deny it. The public meeting is informal and affords customers the opportunity to ask question and express their- views. DLUC and DOWC will have representatives there to explain the reasons for the proposed sale. Project Title: Purchase of Sierra Pacific Power Company distribution line. II. Full Description of Project: Purchase of approximately 4,705 feet of existing electrical distribution lines including poles, transformers, meters, and miscellaneous hardware. The distribution line is single phase, 14 kilovolt and includes four service drops with associated transformers and meters. The purchase will also include any rights of way associated with the existing lane. III. Enemy Usage of Project: This project will not involve any substantial energy usage. I� IV. Exact Location of Project: (If construction or a similar activity is involved, give street names, addresses, or other geographical data sufficient to enable a resident of the District to identify the physical location of all aspects of the project. A metes and bounds description should be avoided if at all possible. A map may be attached in lieu of, or in addition to, the verbal description.): See "Attachment A" entitled "Project Location Map". V. Public Agencies: (List public agencies, if any, other than the District, which must approve, or give a permit for the project): None. VI. Reason for Project: Sierra Pacific Power Company is currently providing electric service to four customers from an existing line within the TDPUD's boundaries.
