HomeMy WebLinkAbout1981-12-28 Min - Board (4) ORDINANCE NO. 8122 1q� OF THE TRUCKEE DONNER PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT CHANGING ELECTRIC RATES (DUE TO SIERRA PACIFIC POWER COMPANY RATE INCREASE) WHEREAS, there is presently an application prending before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for a wholesale rate increase by Sierra Pacific Power Company presently scheduled to take effect January 18, 1982; and �^ WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility Dis- trict finds it to be in the best interest of the District to pass such increase on to the customers of the District; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED, by the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District as follows: In the event that the Sierra Pacific Power Company rate increase is granted by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (and at least thirty days from the date of adoption of this ordinance) effective with the first District billing cycle after the Sierra Pacific increase, the following rates will be placed into effect, thus modifying Ordinances 8119, 8120 and 8121: (1) Ordinance No. 8119 - Changing Domestic Electric Rates - Energy Charge - $6.00 per month for the first 100 kwhrs, or less, and all kwhrs thereafter shall be billed at the rate of 6.2(P per kwhr. (2) Ordinance No. 8120 - Changing GS-1 Commercial Electric Rates - Energy Charge - $7.40 per month for the first 100 kwhrs, or less, and all kwhrs thereafter shall be billed at the rate of 8.2¢ per kwhr. (3) Ordinance No_ 8121 - Changing GS-2A and GS-2B Commercial Electric Rates - Monthly Rate (a) Connected load, 600 kVa or less: Demand charge: $9.00 per kW of billing demand, but not less than $270.00 Energy charge: 4.3¢ per kWh (b) Connected load, greater than 600 kVa: Customer charge: $225.00 per bill Demand charge: $9.00 per kW of billing demand, but not less than $5,400.00 Energy charge: 4.3q, per kWh Minimum charge, the greater of: (i) the current demand charge; (ii) 50% of the highest demand charge estab- lished in the preceding eleven months. All other provisions of Ordinances 8119, 8120 and 8121 shall remain in effect. This Ordinance shall become effective thirty days from the date of adop- tion. The Clerk of the District shall immediately cause a copy of this Ordinance to be published once in the local newspaper, and copies shall be posted in at least three public places within the District. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public ` Utility District at a special meeting held within the District on the 28th day of December, 1981, by the following roll call vote: AYES: Corbett, Huber, Kuttel, Monson and Maass.
