Subject: Consideration of a Resolution Accepting a Notice of Completion of
the Pump Maintenance Program for the Glenshire Drive and
Sanders Wells
1. WHY THIS MATTER IS BEFORE THE BOARD
The maintenance of the pumping equipment is complete at the Glenshire Drive Well
and the Sanders Well sites. A resolution accepting the project requires Board
approval.
2. HISTORY
On February 3, 2010, the Board awarded the Well Pump Maintenance Program to
Carson Pump. This work was to improve the efficiency of these two existing wells and
perform routine maintenance on Sanders Well.
3. NEW INFORMATION
The well pump maintenance work on Glenshire Drive Well and Sanders Well began
on March 2, 2010. Carson Pump completed the work on Glenshire Drive Well and
Sanders Well on March 25, 2010. Staff is requesting a resolution to accept the project
and file a Notice of Completion.
The well pump maintenance work was completed for $78,150, which was $7,772
lower than the original bid price of $85,922. No change order authorization was used
under this contract.
4. FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact associated with filing a Notice of Completion.
5. RECOMMENDATION
Adopt the attached draft resolution accepting the Well Pump Maintenance Program
contracted with Carson Pump as complete and authorize staff to file of the Notice of
Completion.

AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF
THE WELL PUMP MAINTENANCE PROGRAM AND DIRECTING
FILING OF THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District made the determination to
undertake the Well Pump Maintenance Program; and
WHEREAS, Carson Pump LLC was selected by the District to perform the work; and
WHEREAS, Carson Pump LLC has completed all of the work included in the Project; and
WHEREAS,The District's Water Superintendent, Mark Thomas, now certifies the completion of the project;and
WHEREAS,the District's Water Utility Manager, Michael D.Holley,has recommended thatthe work be accepted
by the District;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the District as follows:
1. That the District hereby accepts the Well Pump Maintenance Program as complete.
2. That the Clerk of the District be directed to file with the County of Nevada the Notice of Completion, a
copy of which is attached hereto.
3. That 35 days following the filing of the Notice of Completion, the monies retained from the contractor
payments be released to the contractor if no claims have been made to the District by material suppliers
or laborers.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:
1. That the name and address of the public entity for whom the improvement project was done, as owner
thereof, is the Truckee Donner Public Utility District, Post Office Box 309, Truckee, CA 96160.
2. Nature of interest or estate of owner: beneficial interest of a public utility easement for installation of water
facilities.
3. That on April 21,2010,the hereinafter described improvements were accepted as complete pursuant to
Resolution 2010-XX of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District, the awarding authority.
4. That the subject improvements of the Notice are generally described and identified as follows: Well
Pump Maintenance Program for the Glenshire Drive and Sanders Wells.
5. That the name and address of the contractor for such project was: Carson Pump LLC, P.O. Box
20159, Carson City, NV 89721.
