APPROVED BY: Brian C. Wright, General Manager RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the General Manager to correct an administrative error in the award of a procurement contract for the District's aggregate & asphalt materials approved in the FY24 Annual Contract and Procurements item from the December 6, 2023, Board meeting, whereby: A. The Board rescinds approval of the procurement contract with Western Nevada Supply for aggregate & asphalt purchase for an amount not to exceed $250,000; and B. The Board approves a procurement contract with Teichert Rock Products for aggregate and asphalt purchase for an amount not to exceed $250,000. BACKGROUND: On December 6, 2023, the Board approved the District's FY2024 Annual Procurements, which includes services for the Water Department. Included in the annual procurement requisition was a procurement contract for aggregate and asphalt materials for an amount not to exceed $250,000. ANALYSIS AND BODY: During the process of executing the approved contracts with their respective vendors, staff identified an administrative error in which Western Nevada Supply was identified in the FY24 annual procurements inventory as the vendor for aggregate and asphalt materials purchase, when in fact, the lowest responsive bidder and vendor intended to be awarded the contract through the District's annual procurement process should have been Teichert Rock Products. To correct the administrative oversight, staff recommend the Board rescind its approval of the procurement with Western Nevada Supply and authorize the General Manager to execute a contract with Teichert Rock Products for $205,000.
