BACKGROUND:
The Board of Directors awarded the Contract for construction of the Truckee Falls Golf
Course Irrigation Pipeline to Longo Construction in the amount of $294,725. Change
Order No. 1 was approved by the Board on September 6, 2000 for $35,334.36 with a
revised Contract Amount of$330,059.36.
1 am requesting approval of Change Order No. 2 to the Contract. This Change Order
covers 2 items and closes all outstanding issues related to this Contract:
Item 1: In order to eliminate some uncertainties during the Bidding process, the
Bidding Documents were changed to state that pavement restoration in
excess of 4-inches in thickness would be treated as a "Changed Condition"
and the contractor would be entitled to additional compensation. Pavement
restoration less than 4-inches in thickness would be included in the
Contractor's Bid. The pavement thickness across Donner Pass Road is
about 10 inches and an amount of$9,601.81 is due to Longo Incorporated.
Item 2: In order to eliminate some uncertainties during the Bidding process, the
Bidding Documents were changed to state that pavement restoration in
excess of 4-inches in thickness would be treated as a "Changed Condition"
and the contractor would be entitled to additional compensation. Pavement
restoration less than 4-inches in thickness would be included in the
Contractor's Bid. The pavement thickness across the driveway at the Shell
Station is about 6 to 7 inches and an amount of $1,258.92 is due to Longo
Incorporated.
RECOMMENDATION:
I recommend that the Board authorize Contract Change Order #2 in the amount of
$10,860.73. The revised contract total would be $340,920.09.

This Change Order covers changes to the subject Contract as described herein. The Contractor shall construct,
furnish equipment and materials, and perform all work as necessary or required to complete the Change Order
Items for a lump sum price agreed upon between the Contractor and District.

The amount of the Contract will be increased (decreased) by the sum of $10,860.73 and the Contract Time shall
not be modified. The undersigned Contractor approves the foregoing Change Order as to the changes, if any, in
the contract price specified for each item including any and all supervision costs and other miscellaneous costs
relating to the change in work, and as to the extension of time allowed, if any, for completion of the entire work on
account of said Change Order. The Contractor agrees to furnish all labor and materials and perform all other
necessary work, inclusive of the directly or indirectly related to the approved time extension, required to complete
the Change order items. This document will become a supplement of the contract and all provisions will apply
hereto. It is understood that the Change Order shall be effective when approved by the District.

AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE COYOTE MOON GOLF COURSE IRRIGATION
PIPELINE PROJECT AND DIRECTING FILING OF THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District made the
determination to construct the Coyote Moon Golf Course Irrigation Pipeline Project; and
WHEREAS, the contract was awarded to Longo Incorporated of Alpine Meadows, California, and
the contractor entered into an agreement with the District to perform the work; and
WHEREAS, the Districts Water Engineer, Neil Kaufman, has recommended that the work be
accepted by the District;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the District as follows:
1. That the District hereby accepts the Coyote Moon Golf Course Irrigation Pipeline Project as
complete.
2. That the Clerk of the District be directed to file with the County of Nevada the Notice of
Completion, a copy of which is attached hereto.
3. That 35 days following the filing of the Notice of Completion, the 10% retained from the contractor
payments be released to the contractor if no claims have been made to the District by materiel
suppliers or laborers.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:
1. That the name and address of the public entity for whom the improvement project was done, as owner
thereof, is the TRUCKEE DONNER PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT, Post Office Box 309, Truckee, CA 96160.
2. That on the hereinafter described improvements were accepted as complete
pursuant to a resolution of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District, the awarding authority.
