4 Water Pressure Skislope way
Agenda Item # 4 Memorandum To: Board of Directors From: Peter Holzmeister Date: July 27, 2001 Water pressure problem on Skislope Way We are experiencing a water pressure problem on a portion of Skislope Way. Our customers in that area are saying that the situation has become unbearable. When the pressure is at its worst, It can take several minutes to fill a glass of water. This problem affects eight residential units. Our Water System Master Plan dated March 2001 recognized a pressure problem in this portion of Skislope Way area and proposed fixing it in 2007 using facilities fees as the funding source. Given the impact on customers today we may want to advance that project and perform the fix this year. The problem is fixed by extending the pipeline from the higher pressure zone so the customers experiencing the low pressure are served by the higher pressure zone. We estimate the cost to be approximately $70,000. We have facilities fees available to do the project. We will bring a map to the Board meeting and be prepared to discuss the details of this project. I expect Mark Bovenzi, resident at 16418 Skislope, to attend the Board meting to describe his plight. Recommendation I recommend that the Board authorize staff to solicit bids to install water system pipeline to solve the water pressure problem on Skislope Way.
