TRUCKEE DONNER PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT
ACCEPTING AN OFFER FROM PDQ FOOD STORES OF NEVADA, INC.
TO PURCHASE 1.9 ACRES OF DISTRICT LAND
WHEREAS, the District intends to construct a new office complex
and related facilities at the site of the District' s existing offices;
and
WHEREAS, the District has determined that a potential source of
funding for the construction of the new office complex is the sale of
surplus land owned by the District; and
WHEREAS, the District presently owns 1.9 acres of land located at
the southwest corner of Donner Pass Road and Highway B9, in Truckee,
California; and
WHEREAS, the District has previously determined that this 1.9
acres of land is surplus property and available for sale by the
District; and
WHEREAS, the District has obtained an appraisal of the 1.9 acres
by a licensed real estate appraiser, who determined that the fair
market value of the land is $500,000, assuming that the land is
zoned for commercial use; and
WHEREAS, the District has applied to Nevada County to rezone the
1.9 acres from Public to Commercial, and the Nevada County Board of
Supervisors has adopted a resolution accomplishing the rezoning. Such
rezoning will become effective November 21, 1985; and
WHEREAS, the District _.,s offered the 1.9 acres for sale to the
public, ands has received an offer to purchase the 1.9 acres from PDQ
Food Stores of Nevada, Incorporated, for a price that would produce
net sales proceeds to the District of approximately $500,000. A copy
of the offer to purchase is attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and
WHEREAS, District Counsel has reviewed the offer and determined
that it is in order and legally sufficient;
BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner
Public Utility District as follows:
1. That the District shall accept the attached offer to purchase
the District's 1.9 acres of land.
2. That the President or the Vice-President of the Board is
authorized to execute, on behalf of the District, the attached offer
to purchase the District's 1 .9 acres of land, thereby accepting the
offer.
3. That the proceeds received from the sale of the 1.9 acres
shall be used toward the construction of the new District office
complex and related facilities.
4. That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from the
adoption hereof.
5. That the Deputy District Clerk of the District shall
immediately cause a copy of this Ordinance to be published once in the
local newspaper and copies posted in at least three public places
within the District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee
Donner Public Utility District at a meeting held within said District
on the ath day of November , 1985, by the following roll call
vote:
AYES: Cooley, Corbett, Maass and Duffy.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Hamilton.

Utility District , I caused copies of Ordinance No. 8501 , adopted
by the Board of Directors of said District on November 4 , 1985 .
to be posted within thirty days following adoption in four places
within said District , to wit :
1 . Nevada County Government Center
2. Nevada County Library , Truckee Branch
3. United States Postal Service Office
4 . Truckee Donner Public Utility District
Said posting was completed on November 19 , 1985. Executed on the
