TRUCKEE DONNER PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT
DECLARING VEHICLES SURPLUS
AND ISSUING A CALL FOR BIDS
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Board of Directors of the
Truckee Donner Public Utility District that the vehicles described in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto are no longer required for any purpose by
the District;
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the
Truckee Donner Public Utility District as follows:
1. That the Clerk advertise the sale of the surplus vehicles in
the appropriate newspaper, and notify each interested party that the
vehicles will be sold "as is."
2. Sealed bids will be accepted up to the hour of 4:00 P.M. on
Friday, March 1, 1985. Bids must be signed and placed in an envelope
marked "surplus vehicle bid."
3. Ten percent (10%) of the bid amount is to be included with the
bid in the form of a certified check or money order. This deposit
shall be forfeited in the event that the bidder is awarded the bid and
fails to tender payment and take delivery of the vehicle within thirty
(30) days after the award.
4. There is no minimum bid amount.
5. In the event no bids are received on the surplus vehicles, the
�. Clerk is hereby authorized to dispose of the vehicles at his
discretion.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner
Public Utility District at a meeting duly held within the District on
the 4th day of February, 1985 'by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Cooley, Corbett, Hamilton, Maass and Duffy.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.

NOTICE AND INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS
SURPLUS DISTRICT VEHICLES
February 7. 1985
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Directors of the Truckee
Donner Public Utility District will receive sealed proposals from
bidders on the following surplus vehicles up until the hour of 4:00
P.N. on Friday, March 1, 1985.
A) Unit No. 3 - truck, 1/2 ton, cab and chassis,
4 x 4. 1975 Chevrolet; 100,401 miles
B) Unit No. 20 - truck, 1/2 ton, pick-up, 1978
Toyota; 74,384 miles
C) Unit No. 21 - truck, 1/2 ton, pick-up, 1978
Toyota; 57,583 miles
D) Unit No. 22 - truck, 1/2 ton, pick-up, 1978
Toyota; 47,904 miles
The vehicles may be inspected upon making appropriate arrangements with
the Foreman of Technical Services, Bruce Grow; they will be sold "as
is" and the District will not make a guarantee of any kind relating to
condition or performance. Maintenance records will also be made
available upon request. There is no required minimum bid.
Each bid must be made on the required bid form and submitted in a
sealed envelope clearly marked. SURPLUS VEHICLE BID. Bidders may bid on
one or any number of the vehicles.
Ten percent (10%) of the bid amount is to be included with the bid in
the form of a certified check or money order. This deposit shall be
forfeited in the event that the bidder is awarded the bid and fails to
tender payment and take delivery of the vehicle within thirty (30) days
after the award.
Deposits will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders within seven (7)
days after the award is made.
The bids will be awarded at the regular Board meeting of March 4, 1985.
Please note that the Truckee Donner Public Utility District
specifically reserves the right to reject any and all bids. waive
irregularities or informalities in any or all bids, be the sole judge
of the suitability of the bid, and to accept any-bid that it determines
to be in its best interest.
