HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1995-01 - Board ORDINANCE NO. 9501 OF THE TRUCKEE DONNER PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT ADOPTING A GROUNDWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN WHEREAS, the State of California has enacted Assembly Bill 3030 which authorizes a local agency that provides water service whose service area includes a groundwater basin or a portion of a groundwater basin, that is not subject to groundwater management, to adopt and implement a groundwater management plan; and WHEREAS, the Truckee Donner Public Utility District is a local agency providing water and its service area includes a portion of the Martis Valley groundwater basin, which basin is not subject to groundwater management, and WHEREAS, the District finds that the Martis Valley groundwater basin is a valuable natural resource that should be managed for the benefit of the customers of this District, and • WHEREAS, the District has held a public hearing on its intent to draft a groundwater management plan and, subsequent to that hearing, has caused its consultants, Simon Hydro-Search, Inc., to prepare a draft plan; and WHEREAS, the District has held a public hearing on its intent to adopt a groundwater management plan; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District that the groundwater management plan is hereby enacted as Chapter 6.02 of the Code of District Policies. ENACTED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District at a meeting duly called and held within the District on the 3rd day of January 1995 by the following roll call vote: AYES: Aguera, Hemig, Maass, Sutton and Jones.
