The Board of Directors of Truckee Public Utility District
do
do hereby RESOLVE that the hereinafter described real. property, now
owned by the District, is not needed or necessary for the present
or future needs of Truckee Public Utility District; and
BE IT FURTHER RFZQLVED that it is for the best interests of
Truckee Public Utility District that said real property be sold upon

the terms and conditions, and subject to the restrictions and reser-
vations hereinafter set forth; and the president of the Hoard of
Directors and the secretary of the District are hereby authorized
and directed in the name of the District to execute av and all in.
struments reasonably required to accomplish and carry out the sale
of said real property;
That said real property so proposed to be disposed of and
sold is described as follows

2. It shall be understood and agreed that the above
property shall be developed and used exclusively as a Trailor Gourd
with the usual associated business, for a period of 5 gears, ending
December 31, 1961.
3. The purchaser shall agree to avdance a sum sufficient
to install a Water and electric line to supply the above described
property at a cost sufficient to cover the installation of the same.

A co-maunication was read under date of Dec 13 from Paul H. Chamberlain
relative to the 'ovashoe Project i4ater Protest and the Manager explained
th4 the ammended protest as submitted by Mr. Chamberlain had been for-
warded to supercede the protest filed bn Dec 7th.
A cor.munication was read under date of Dec 18th from the District to the
Lngineering Management Inc., with reference to certain corrections desired
by the District in the right of way they were requesting and the Manager
ad
vised that Mr. Blersch of a'igilneering Management had telephoned and re-
quested a letter be sent to Supt. Anderson of the Southern Pacific Co. in
reference to the right of way desired by the District. A copy of this
letter dated Dec 26th was read to the Board and was approved by -them for
forwarding to 1-1r. Anderson.
The Manager reported that after certain bills had been applied that Mr.
G E Lewis owed the District as of Jan 2, 1957s $8750.00 on principle and
46.80 on interest and that a bill for this amount would be sent Mr. Lewis
on the lst of the year.,
Director Welch submitted a report for the prizes for Christmas decoration,
1st prize for home decorations went to E K Stice of Spring Lane, Gateway �25*
2nd prize It If It 11 11 Chester A Burns of Church St. $10's
There being but one entry in the Commercial contest, no prizes were given.
A con-iiunication was read under date of Dec 26th from J E Joeraer enclosing a

The Manager brought up the matter of new street lights for the Main St of Truckee

I 4 The street lights on the Main Street of Truckee have been removed
due to the removal of the poles of the Pacific Telephone & Telegraph
Co., on which they had been mounted, andp
The Utility District some twenty years ago installed the latest
and in(st efficient ornamental lights available at that time and had
maintained the same until their removal,, and,
Y,ilt"E'REAS1 These lights are nor obsolete, but have some junk or reclaimable
value, and,

It is the desire of the merchants along I in Street to have the
latest and roost efficient type of street lights installed for the
benefit of business and the promotion of the town,, and,,
The cost of installing such lights together with mounting standards,
which are necessary with the removal of the telephone poles,am.ounts
to approximately W00-00P
Ni'.4 Tr The Board of Directors of the Utility District in regular
meeting agree that if the property owners and merchants along Main

Street, between Bridge Spring and e will raise and pay to the Dis-
trict tll-le sun, of $3000-00P the District will install 9 flourescent
V shaped street lights mounted on steel standards without further
cost to the property owners and maintain the same thereafter.

was authori"ed to send out a circular letter to property owners alono, Main
'treet asking- for their cooperation in installing modern Street lights,
she he Directors brought up the matter of the use being made by the old ice pond
for -:,Ikatin,-r and the Manager was requested to install additional flood lights.
Director Heller stated that Pa,,,Ll Kaspien had discussed with him his charges
for water a.,id had stated that he was not using the extra house on his lot
wad felt that he should not be charged for same. Director stated that he
would inform Mt. Kaspian to notify the office to discontiniie his water charges
during the per -Lod the house was vacant,
The monthly report of the Electric and Water systems for the month of
Nove:,,-nber as submitted by auditor White and after perusal were ordered filed.
No farther business appearing, - Board adjourned.
