The Resolution was unaninlously adopted. A =rjaunication was read under date or Dec 31 from the State Water Rights Board relative to the protest filed by the District against Application 15672, and setting forth that the original protest and the amended pro- test are insufficient, and cannot be accepted, and granting the District 15 days to file another. Also a copy of a communication from the Bureau of Reclamation at Salt Lake City., to the State Water Rights Board., in answer to the protest of the District and setting forth their reasons for denying the protest. The Manager reported that he had forwarded these letters to Mir. Chamberlain for further action,, if any. A comiunication was read under date of Dec 27, from V E Anderson, Supt. Southern Pacific Co. relative to proposed overhead power line crossing agr eement serving the Burney Lumber Co. in which he advises that two copies of the proposed agreement were enclosed.In order to facilitate the closing of these agreements the Manager reported that he had sub- ,,Litted same to Chairman Heller for his signature and had attached his own and returned the: to the Southern Pacific Co. It was moved and carried that the signing of this agreement by the president and acting - secretary be hereby authorized and concurred in. The Manager reported that on a recent visit by Mrs. Eve , Popo ich she had V1 requested that the deed and agreement of sale of the property in the rear of the California Inspection Station be placed in escrow with the Inter -County Title Co. at Nevada City, Calif. The Manager 7.ade a report on the collection ection of an old bill from 1947 and stated that the District was endeavoring to keep track of any de. linquent customers who may return to the District so as to collect past due bills. Chairman Heller reported that the Board had contacted Mr. Karl Kiel bofer of Truckee and had offered him a position with the District at $500. per n,ionth to start on February 1,, 195T. He stated that Mr. Kielhofer had said that he would make an inspection of the District and that in the course of 3 or 4 months he should be able to acquaint himself with the system, 14'o furth,Jr business appearing, Board adjourned, 01 E)c-Of f ic io 'Secretary President Truckee, California January 31, 1957 The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility District met in regular meeting C'. the office of the District on Main St., at 2030 P M"'t C. R. Heller: president, presiding. Upon roll call the following Directors were noted present: Jack Neugebauer Chas. R. Heller Hal Welch (absent) Mr. John Blersch of Lngineering.Management, Inc. appeared before the Board relative to Right of Way for Southern Pacific pipe line. He explained that his letter of Dec 10, 1956 had been corrected to show the $500, per acre price as requested by the District, and inasmuch as a right of way under the Southern Pacific Co. I s subway on 89 Highway had been* settled to the satisfaction of the District, the following resolution was read and adopted: R.hZOLUTION No. 57-02 f �' S, a right of way for an oil pipe line has been requested by the S�uthern Pacific Pipe Lines, Inc., across certain property owned by the District lying south of the Tahoe -Truckee High School., and,, A i I:),, the termn s and conditions outlined in the right of way agreement meets with the approval of the Board,, and, tS, in the judgement of the Board the gtanting of such right of way would not interfere with any contemplated uses off' the land involved, by the District, now, therefore be it 0LV�, tkp.t the Chairman and a member of the Board is hereby authorized to execute the said right of way agreement between the District and the Southern .'acific Pipe Lines,, Inc, It was agreed that the price of $125.00, offered for this right of way was fair and agreeable to the District, acid it was moved and carried that the check for this amount offered by Mr. Blersch*.,be accepted, in parment, thereof,
