HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1968-01 - Board ORDINANCE NO* 68 01 of TRUCKEE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT APPOINTING TREASURER, AND ESTABLISHING BOND WHEREAS, Section 16111 and following of the Public Utilities Code of the State of California provides, among 'other things, for the appointment of officers of a utility district other than Directors, including therein the office of Treasurer, and for the establishment of the amount of bond of such office, and WHEREAS, the former treasurer of said District has tendered her resignation, and the Board of Directors of the District now desires to appoint a successor treasurer: NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED By THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF TRUCKEE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the resignation of SHIRLEY HUBIAR former treasurer of Truckee Public Utility District, shall be and the same is hereby accepted, said resignation being deemed effective as of the 31st day of May 1968 2. That as successor to said office, E. T. PAULUS of I Truckee, California, shall be and he is hereby appointed as treasurer of Truckee Public Utility District, ,said appointment being deemed effective as of the 1st day of June—.-- 1968 That as compensation for work in reference to the office of treasurer on behalf of said District, the said Treasurer E. T. PAU LU S shall be compensated at the rate of $900.00 *boom"= payable monthly t a rate prescribedby the Board Is 3. That as said treasurer appointed hereby, he shall perform such duties and have such authority as is provided by the Public Utilities CodrN of the State of California, applicable to utilities 1-aft districts in wiincorporated territory, and such other and further duties as may be imposed upon or granted to him from time to time be the Board of Directors of said District; That the treasurer shall have charge of the receipt of funds of the District, which funds shall be deposited daily into the treasury of the District, and said Treasurer shall post a bond with said District., in the amount of $35,000.00, and a certified copy of this Ordinance shall be served upon and retained by said Treasurer. 4. That said Treasurer hereby appointed shall hold office at the pleasure of the Board of Directors of said District; 5. Said Treasurer will perform also the duties of Accoikitant. 6. That copies of this Ordinance shall be published in the Sierra Sun for the time and in the manner required by law, The foregoing Ordinance was duly passed and adopted by the Board of Directors of Truckee Public Utility District at a reLlar meeting thereof duly called and held in said District on the 7th day of May 1968 by the following roll call vote.
