RESOLUTION
DEFINING THE BOARDS POLICY ON
GROUNDWATER EXPLORATION
. - BY DART RESORTS
_WHEREAS; The Truckee Donner Public Utility District and Dart
have heretofore entered into written agreements relating
- - to the physical installation and improvements to be
V constructed as part of the development known as Tahoe
Donner, and
W H E R EA S: The supplemental agreement provided for a groundwater
ter
• stud y to be conducted through the Truckee region, and
WHEREAS: The groundwater study was conducted by Hydro-Search, Inc.
resulting in the published report "Availability of Ground
Water, Truckee Donner Public Utility District, Nevada
County, California" dated February 14, 1975, and
WHEREAS: The groundwater study defined groundwater basins
recharge-
potential and zones of groundwater favorability, and
WHEREAS: In compliance with the supplemental agreement Dart is
exploring, on an apparent random basis, for additional
groundwater sources through the construction of pilot
. . holes, and
WHEREAS: Lacking specific programs as has been specifically
. requested of Dart the District feels that these guide-
lines must be provided to assist Dart in the productive
and coordinated search for "suitable" groundwater
supplies. .
NOW THEREFORE BED IT RESOLVED
_ That it shall be this Board 's policy, until suitable,
creditable information is presented to justify a �revision,
as follows :
1. Dart shall not be permitted to drill pilot holes
or water wells on District owned property;-

. 2. Any potential pilot hole or well drilled into recharge
Area "G" is hereby declared "unsuitable" -andshall
not be connected to any part of the _Truckee Donner
P.U .D. system.
3. Suitably exploration sites exist in recharge Areas I
and D and this Board recommends that all future
exploration be conducted within said areas .

�• That any and all water supply credits for the sales office
well as defined under the supplemental agreement shall be
limited to the recharge of Zone "G" less the annual pro—
duction of the Districtfs Donner Creek Well No. 2 pumping
continuously at. 600 GPM.
