He also advised that the District had not received a permit from the State Board of Health and left some necessary forms to apply for same, one of which was a re5olution which was p resented to the Board forradoption as Resolution W5 701, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part of the minutes. The Resolution was unanimously adopted. A co.-anunacation was read under date or Dec 31. from the State Water Rights Board relative to the protest filed by the District a,crainst Applicat ion - 15672, and setting forth that the origional protest and the amended proem test are insufficient,, and cannot be accepted, and granting the District 15 day s to file another. Also a copy of a comunication from the Bureau of Reclamation at Salt Lake City, to the State Water Rights Board, in answer to the protest of the District and setting forth their reasons for denying the protest, The Manager reported that he had forwarded these letters to i'vir. It was moved and carried that the signing of this agreement by the president and act ing,m secretary be hereby authorized and concurred in. The Manager reported that on a recent visit by Mrs. Eve Popovich., she had requested that the deed and agreement of sale of the property in the rear of the California Inspection Station be placed in escrow with the Inter.-,County Title Co. at Nevada City, Calif. None Absent: None After some discussion the Manager was instructed to forward a letter try the Inter-County Title Co. setting forth that the deed and agreement 'are to be placed in escrow pending the payment in f of $25,000.00 to the District and that a11. other expenses of whatsoever nature shall be paid by the buyer and such other terms as the Manager may deem necessary.to protect the interests of the District. 59 The I-lanager made a report on the collection of an old bill from 1947 and stated that the District was endeavoring to keep track of any de.-m linquent customers who may return to the District so as to col 3ect past due bills. Chairman Heller reported that the Board had contacted Mr. Karl Kielhofer of Truckee and had offered him a position with the District at $500. per fiionth to start on February 1., 1957. He stated that Mr. ielhofer had said that he would make an inspection of the District and that in the course of 3 or 4 months he should be able to acquaint himself with the system, 14o furth,.-..1.r business appearing., Board adjourned, E)c-Off icio 'Secretary President Truckee, California January 31, 1957 The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Ut4 lity District 0.4 0 met in regular meeting the office of the District on Main St.,# at 2,0 30 P M0,V C. R. 1ieller, president, presiding. Upon roll call the followi.at7 Directors were noted present: Jack Neugebauer Chas. R. Heller Hal Welch (absent) 14r. John Blersch of gineering Management., Inc. appeared before the Board relt-.1tive to Right of Way for Southern Pacific pipe Vie, He explained that his letter of Dec 10, 1966 had been corrected to show the $500. per acre price as requested by the District, and inasmuch as a right of way under the Southern Pacific Co.'s subway on 89 Highway had been' settled to the satisfaction of the District, the following resolution was read and adopted* AtZOLUTION No 57-aO2 i$-A LAEAS.1 a right of way for an oil' pipe line has been requested by the 0 Sbuthern Pacific Pipe Lines, Inc., across certain property owned by the -t District lying south of the Tahoe-Truckee High School,, and, 14K.6�, 3-ll, the terms and conditions outlined "in the right of way agreerient meets with the approva-1 of the Board, and., �4HERZJts, in the Judgement of the Board the gtanting of such right of way would not int erf ere w'it h any cont emplat ed us es of t he land involved., by the District, now, therefore- be ,it Ri4j'30LV14Z.v tiv.t the Chairman and a member of the Board is hereby authorized to execute the said right of way agreement between the District and the Southern :'aci f ic Pipe Lines, Inc.
