RESOLUTION NO. 84 12
OF THE
TRUCKEE DONNER PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT
AMENDING BYLAWS REGARDING RETENTION
OF TAPE RECORDINGS OF MEETINGS
WHEREAS, Section 14 of the Bylaws of the Truckee Donner Public Utility
District currently provides that tape recordings of all regular and special
meetings shall be retained for six months after final approval of the min-
utes; -and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board that it would be bene--
f is is 1 to retain the tape recordings for a longer period
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee
.Donner Public Utility District as follows:
1. That Section 14 of the Bylaws hereby be amended to read
in its entirety as follows:
Taping of Meetings -- The Clerk/Ex-off icio Secretary shall
arrange to have tape recordings made of the meetings of
the Board, except when the Board goes into closed session,
for use in preparation of the minutes.. The Clerk/Ex-o f f is io
Secretary shall retain the tapes for three years
after the minutes have been approved in final form and
bound in minute books. During the time the tapes are stored, $
the Clerk/Ex-o f f is io Secretary shall make the tapes avail-
able to anyone for review upon arrangement. At the conslu-
sion of the storage period, the tapes will be erased, de-
stroyed or reused.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner
Public Utilit District at a meeting held within said District on the 5th
day of M arc 1 1984, by the following roll call vote.
AYES: Cooley, Duffy and Maass.
NOES; Corbett and Hamilton.
ABSENT: None.
