OF THE
TRUCKEE DONNER PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT
RESCINDING ORDINANCE NO. 8401 AND ESTAB-
LISHING NEW DIRECTOR COMPENSATION PROVISIONS
BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public
Utility District as follows:
I. That any and all prior ordinances, amendments or clarifications
relating to the rate of compensation for members of the Board of
Directors of said District shall be set aside and of no further force
and effect commensurate with the date upon which this ordinance be-
comes effective.
2. Each member, while on the Board, shall receive compensation equal
to the sum of $4,800 -annually. Compensation shall be made monthly in
the amount of $400, as provided for in Section 16002 of the Public Util-
ities Code. It shall be the policy of the District to permit individual
Board members, at their discretion, to receive health insurance benefits
in lieu of a portion of the monetary compensation as provided in this
ordinance. An amount equal to the cost of any insurance premiums attri-
butable to such director for any health insurance coverage as then pro-
vided by the District to its employees for such director and his or her
dependents, shall be deducted from the annual compensation as set forth
above, on a monthly basis. If a director's health insurance premium ex-
ceeds the amount of monthly compensation, such director shall reimburse
the District for the, dif f erence. The maximum amount of compensation for
each director whether received in direct monetary form or as the cost of
any health insurance premium, shall not exceed $4j8OO annually,

3. No additional compensation shall be allowed for attendance 'c at special
meetings, committee meetings, or any other District business except reim-
bursement for out-of-pocket expenses including pro-
ceedings.

4.' This ordinance shall be reviewed by the Board of Directors at the
first meeting in January of each year as to the adequacy of the pro-
visions p
visions contained herein. Such review shall be scheduled as a public

hearing. This does not preclude, however, the right of' a Board mem-
ber to place review of the ordinance on any agenda enda should the Board
member deem it necessary.
5. The Clerk of the District shall cause this ordinance to be duly
posted and published as required by the laws of the state of Calif.

6. This ordinance shall become effective thirty y p days after adoption.

I caused copies of ordinance No. 8403, adopted by the Board of Directors of said
District on July 16, 1984, to be posted within thirty days following adoption in
four places within said District, to wit:
I. Nevada County Government Center
2. Nevada County Library, Truckee Branch
3. United States Post Office
4. Truckee Donner Public Utility District
Said posting was completed on July 20, 1984. Executed on the 20th day of July,
