HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1984-05 - Board 93 ORDINANCE NOe 84 05 OF THE TRUCKEE DONNER PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT CHANGING ELECTRIC RATES WHEREAS, as a result of its increased costs, the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District has realized that it is essential to in- crease its electric rates; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District as follows: 1. Effective with the effective date of this Ordinance, the rate pro- visions of Ordinance 8122 and all other portions of prior ordinances and/or resolutions which are Anconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. BE IT FURTHER ENACTED that effective with the f irst billing cycle in January of 1985, the following rates will be placed into effect: 1. Domestic Electric Rates - Energy Charge $6.30 per month for the first 100 kilowatt hours or less, and all kilowatt hours thereafter shall be billed at the rate of 6.5� per kilowatt hour. 2. GS-1 Commercial Electric Rates - Energy Charge $7.77 per month for the first 100 kilowatt hours or less, and all kilowatt hours there- after shall be billed at the rate of 8.60, per kilowatt hour. 3. GS-2A and GS-2B Commercial Electric Rates Monthly Rate a) Connected load, 600 KVA or less: Demand charge: $9.45 per KW of billing demand, but not less than $283.50 Energy charge: 4.50 per KWH b) Connected load, greater than 600 KVA: Customer charge: $236.25 per bill Demand charge.* $9.45 per KW of billing demand, but not less than $5,670.00 Energy charge: 4.50 per KWH Minimum charge, the greater of: (1* ) The current demand charge; (ii) 50% of the highest demand charge established in the preceding 11 months All other provisions of Ordinances 8119, 8120 and 8121 shall remain in effect. The Clerk of the District shall immediately cause a copy of this ordinance to be published once in the local newspaper, and copies shall be posted in at least three public places within the District. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District at a meeting duly called and held within the District on the 5th day of November, 1984, by the following roll call vote: AYES: Corbett, Duffy, Hamilton and Maass, NOES: Cooley, ABSENT: None.
