Home My WebLink AboutRES 1984-59 - Board RESOLUTION NO. 84 59 OF THE TRUCKEE DONNER PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND CALLING FOR BIDS ON VEHICLES FOR DISTRICT USE WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District has determined the need to purchase additional vehicles for Dis- trict use, and WHEREAS, specifications for said vehicles are given in the schedules attached hereto* NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District does hereby approve the specifica- tions described in the attached schedules; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District is hereby directed to issue a call for bids based on the specifications for three mid-range pickups, one one-ton cab and chassis, two three-quarter ton cab and chassis and one five-passenger four-wheel truck with a rear roof. The date and time established for the bid opening is Wednesday October 10 1984, at 4:00 P.M. Bids must be in accordance with the It18tTt1CC3.0A8 to Bidders and placed is a sealed envelope clearly marked "1985 Vehicle Purchase 81d," and delivered or mailed to the District at the above address. Bidders may bid any one or all of the vehicles; an accompanying bid bond is required. Bid awards w111 be made at the October 15, 1984 regular meeting of the Board of Directors. smc r r INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS The Truckee Donner Public Utility District seeks to purchase three (3) half ton pick-up trucks, two (2) three-quarter ton cab and chassis trucks, one (1) one--ton cab and chassis truck, and one (1) five passenger truck. The District will purchase these vehicles from the lowest responsible bidder who is in substantial compliance with the specifications.,* In awarding the bid, the District reserves the right to reject any and all bids if it is in the best interest of the District to do so. The successful bidder will be required to enter into a contract with the District and submit a performance bond in the full amount of the contract guaranteeing faithful performance* Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked, "1985 Vehicle Purchase Bid." Bids must be submitted on the Forty of Proposal, and the specification pages must be attached indicating compliance with sp ec if ica-- t ions and price breakdown. Any variation from specifications should be clearly indicated in the submission of supplemental documents. A bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price must accotapany the bid. Bids must be received by the Deputy District Clerk by 4#000 P.M. prevailing time, in the District office at 11570 Donner Pass Road, Post Office Box 309, Truckee, California 95734 on Wednesday, October 10, 1984, at which t i and place they will be publicly opened and read.
