RESOLUTION NO. 84 58
OF THE
TRUCKEE DONNER PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT
ESTABLISHING DEFERRED COMPENSATION
FOR MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 5439 adopted on .dune 18, 1984, the Board
of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District established
a deferred compensation plan enabling it to provide reasonable retire-
ment security for its employees by providing increased flexibility in its
personnel management system, and by assisting in the attraction and reten-
tion of competent personnel* and
WHEREAS, such deferred compensation plan is to be administered by the
ICMA Retirement Corporation, with the General Manager of the Truckee Don-
ner Public Utility District acting as the coordinator on behalf of the
District; and
WHEREAS, the. Board desires to permit employees who are excluded from
representation by the IBEW, Local 1245 to participate in this deferred
compa.nsat ion plan on a voluntary basis;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee
Donner Public Utility District as follows:
1. That the policy attari.hed hereto regarding a deferred comperisa-
t ion plan for management employees is hereby approved effective
this date.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Pub-
lic Utility District at a regular meeting duly called and held in said. Dis-
trict on the 1.7th day of September 1984, by the following
roll call vote:
AYES: Cooley, Corbett, Duffy, Hamilton and Maass.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.

POLICY STATEMENT
PURPOSE
The purpose of this policy is to set forth rules governing enrollment and District
participation in the ICMA Retirement Corporation deferred compensation plan.
POLICY
1 . Any full time, permanent employee of the District who is excluded from
representation by the Union may select to participate in the ICMA Re-
tirement Corporation deferred compensation plan approved by the District
on June 18, 1984, by Resolution No. 8439.
2. Contributions to the ICMA plan are voluntary on the part of the em-
ployee, and shall impose no cost upon the District,
3. In certain instances and at its discretion, the Board may choose to
contribute to the ICMA plan on behalf of an employee in lieu of other
benefits and as set forth by contract with the employee.
