OF THE
TRUCKEE DONNER PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT
ISSUING A CALL FOR BIDS FOR PAVING
ROAD CROSSINGS AND PATCH WORK
WHEREAS, the Truckee Donner Public Utility District will
require paving for road crossings and patchwork as necessary
for the 1983 construction season;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the President of the
Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility Dis-
trict is hereby directed to issue a call for bids for road
crossing paving and patchwork as necessary for the 1983 con-
struction season as described in the attached Notice to Bid-
ders, and that the date and time established for the bid open-
ing is Monday- I May 9 If 1983 ,, at 4:00 -0
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the
Truckee Donner Public Utility District on the 18th day
of April 1983 , by the following roll call
vote:
AYES: Kuttel, Maass, VanLandingham and Corbett.
NOES None.
ABSENT: Hamilton,

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE -tS HERERY GIVEN to prospective bidders that sealed bids
will be received by the Truckee Donner Public Utility District
until 4-000 P.M. on Monday I May 9 '1983, for all
required paving for road crossings and patchwork as necessary
for the 1983 construction season* The bid will be awarded at
the May 16, 1983, Board meeting*
The average join will consist of digging out and compacting ex-
is t i ng base, tacking edges with SS-1 oil ,* and completing the
job with two inches of compacted A* Cef in compliance with the
District 's Guidelines and Standards*
Areas to be paved will be specified throughout the
construction season, a nd every reasonable effort will be made
by the District to work with the contractor so that he may
plan the work expeditiously .
Payn. ent will be made on the month following corripl et ion of
work, and the District ' s receipt of invoice.
Performance bond - The Contractor, at the time of executing

Insurance:
wo r k m e n s Compensation Insuraarice - the Contractor shall mainam
tain adequate Workmens ' Compensation Insurance under the laws
of the State of California , and shall provide e mployees ' gen-
eral liability insurance for the benefit of his employees and
the employees of any sub-contractor under him not protected by
compensation laws. Proof of insurance satisfactory to the
District shall be provided by filing certificates of insurance
with the District *
Pilblic liability and property damage insurance - The contract-
or shall furnish satisfactory proof, by certificate, that he
nas public liability and property damage insurance. The in-
surance shall protect both the Contractor and the District ,
its of.1t7icers and/or agents against loss from all liabilities
imposed by law, and shall be maintained in full force and ef-
fect during the performance of the contract and in the follow-
ing amounts .
1 ) Limit of liability for personal injury or accidental
duath - one person, $500 ,000; aggregate liability per acci-
dont , -,,� 1 ,000, 000 .

2) Limit of liability for property damage - one occur-
rence, $50tOOO; aggregate liability for loss per accident ,
$100r000*
Guarantee - The Contractor shall guarantee all work done tin-
der this contract for 'a period of one year f rom the date of
construction* Should the workmanship or materials prove (Je-
fective in the opinion of the District , the work shall be
removed and replaced at the Contractor' s expense.
Notice to proceed - The Contractor shall , within one week
from recieving notice to proceed with trench restoration,
complete the assigned trench restorations for approval by
the District * The District shall work with the Contractor
to expedite the work to be done*
The Truckee Donner Public Utility District specifically re-
serves the right to reject any and all bids, waive irregu4M
larities or informalities in any or all bids, be the sole
judge of the suitability of the items offered, and to accept
any bid that it determines to be in its best interest .
