Home My WebLink AboutRES 1983-05 - Board ... ...._._.... -.--n.....,.....,....T......w+e�7fmTrµs:r"Relq�gy .... r RESOLTUION NO. 8305 OF THE TRUCKEE DONNER PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF A NEGATIVE DECLARATION REGARDING THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF HYDROELECTRIC PROJECTS AT PROSSER DAM AND AT BOCA DAM WHEREAS, the Truckee Donner, Public Utility District was issued Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Preliminary Permit No. 2920-000 on April 29, 1980,-p and WHEREAS, the Truckee Donner Public Utility District has applied to the Water Resources Control Board for water rights permit to power ower at Pros- ser and Boca Dams (Application No. 25946 for Prosser Dam and Application No. 2 594 7 for Boca Dam) ; and WHEREAS, James Hansen and Associates, Consulting Engineers, were re- tained tained to provide professional services in regard to the application of license to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and preparing all information re- quired by the California Environmental Quality Act; and ,..WHEREAS, District staff and James Hansen and Associates have undertaken and completed the initial study as required by the California Environmental Quality Act and have reached the conclusion that the project could not have a significant effect on the environment and that a Negative Declaration should be prepared; and WHEREAS, District staff and James Hansen and Associates also find that these projects are categorically exempt under the California Environmental Qual- ity Act,.,-. and WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Tru ckee Donner Public Utility District find that the foregoing environmental assessment is sound and find n that such proposed project is categorically exempt and meets the requirements for filing a Negative Declaration under the California Environmental Quality tY Act• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District as follows: 1. That a Negative Declaration be prepared on behalf of ' P the District as lead agency regarding the development of hydroelectric facil- ities at Prosser Dam and Boca Dam. 2. That the Secretary of the District give public notice of the preparation of the Negative Declaration and its availability for inspection at the District office. 3. That the Secretary file the Negative Declaration with the Cal- ifornia Resources Agency, the California State Clearinghouse, and all other responsible agencies noted in Exhibit "A" attach- ed hereto. 0,0 4.
