TRUCKEE DONNER PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT
CHANGING COMMERCIAL ELECTRIC RATES
WHEREAS, the District's wholesale electric supplier, Sierra Pacific Power
Company, has petitioned :and received approval for a rate increase; and
WHEREAS, as a result of its 'increased costs, the Board of Directors of
the Truckee Donner Public Utility District has realized that it is essential to
increase its electric rates.
BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public

Utility District as follows.
1* Effective with the effective date of this Ordinance, the
rate provisions of Ordinance No. 7802, and all other
portions of prior ordinances and/or resolutions which are
inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance are
hereby repealed.
BE IT FURTHER ENACTED that the electric rates for small general
service commercial customers shall be known as Schedule GS-1 and shall be
as f ollows.
Energy Charge
$7.40 per hour for the first 100 kwhrs or less, and all kwhrs thereafter
shall be billed at the rate of $0.049 per kwhr,
Minimum Cha
The minimum charge for service hereunder shall be the energy charge
plus $1.7 5 per kilowatt or total connected load in excess of seven
kilowatts. For the purpose hereof, a horsepower will be considered
as equivalent to a kilowatt.
BE IT FURTHER ENACTED that the following electric rates shall be
charged to all large general service customers, being hereby established as
Schedules GS-2A and GS-2B.
Applicability
To general service requirements within the District, including power
and fighting taken at one point of delivery with more than 30 kilowatts
of demand.
Character of Service
Sixty-hertz alternating current. The District reserves the right. to
specify the voltage and phase of service supplied under this schedule.
.Monthly Rate
a. Connected Load, 600 kVa or less.
Demand Charge: $4.40 per kW of billing demand, but not
less than $13 4.0 0.
Energy Charge.* $0.029 per kWh.

b, Connected Load, greater than 600 kVa:
Customer Charge: $225-00 per bill
Demand Charge. $4.40 per kW of billing demand, but not
less than $2,640.00.
Energy Charge: $0.025 per kWh.
Minimum Charge, the 'greater of.
(1) the current Demand Charge;
(2) 50% of the highest Demand Charge established in the
-preceding eleven months.

Measured Demand
The maximum measured 15 minute average kilowatt load during the
billing period. If, at the discretion of the District, the customer's
usage is intermittent or highly fluctuating, then a shorter time 'interval
may be used.
.Billing Demand
The greater of.
i's Current per i od's measured demand;
2. 5 0% of the highest Billing Demand established during
the preceding eleven months; or
3. 5 0% of the contract demand.
.Primary Service Discount
If, at the discretion of the District, service is supplied at the primary
voltage available, the Demand and Energy charges of the applicable
rate above shall be reduced by 2-1/2900
Primary M eterin Discount
If, at the discretion of the District, service is metered at the primary
voltage available, the Demand and Energy charges of the applicable
rate above shall be reduced by 2-1/2%0
Tower Factor Adjustment
The District, at its discretion, may adjust the energy and demand
charges to correct for average power factors above or below 80%.
Such adjustments will be made by increasing or decreasing the energy
and demand charges by .15% for each 1% or major fraction thereof
by which the average power factor is greater or less than 80% lagging.

Bills computed in accordance with the foregoing rates and charges
are subject to adjustment for charges in the cost of fuel pursuant
to Schedule FCA.
Terms of Agreement
A contract will be required as a condition of service for not less
than three (3) years.
Terms of Service
Service under this schedule is subject to the District's Rules and
Regulations for electric service.
BE IT FURTHER ENACTED that the fuel clause adjustment as adopted
in Ordinance No. 7702 on April 5, 1977, shall hereafter be added to and
included in the monthly charge on all billings and shall not be stated therein
as a separate item*
This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days from the date of
adop tion. The Clerk of the District shall immediately cause a copy of this
Ordinance to be published once in the local newspaper and copies shall be
posted in at least three (3) public places within the District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee-Donner
Public Utility District, at a meeting held within said District on the 19th
day of November 1979, by the following roll call vote:

The undersigned, Susan M. Craig, under penalty of perjury, certifies
as follows:
That for and on behalf of the Clerk of the Truckee Donner Public Utility
District, I caused copies of Ordinance No. 7909, an ordinance changing com-
mercial electric rates, adopted by the Board of Directors of said District
on November 19, 1979, to be posted within thirty (30) days following adoption
in four places within said District, to wit:
1. Nevada County Government Center
2. Nevada County Library, Truckee Branch
3, United States Postal Service Office
4. Truckee Donner Public Utility District
Said posting was completed on the 20th day of November, 1979
