HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1980-07 - Board ORDINANCE NO. 80 OF TRUCKEE-DONNER PUBLIC UTI-LITY DISTRICT AMENDING ORDINANCE NO-w 7401 CLARIFYING DIRECTOR COMPENSATION PROVLSIONS WHEREAS, on February 5, 1974, the Board of Directors of the Truckee- No. 74-01, Establishing -,strict established Ordinance Utility Dk Donner Public 1 Compensation to be Received by the Board of Directors thereof; and WHEREAS9 it has come to the attention of the Board of Directors that 0 0 dinance and the Board ambiguities exist wi4th respect to Paragraph 2 of said Or of Directors do hereby wish to clarify said Paragraph. BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee-Donner Public IV Utility District that Paragraph 2 is hereby amended to read as follows,* That the qualified and acting members 16 of the Board of Directors of the District shall be entitled to receive compensation as follows: (a) A t the rate of FIFTY AND N011_00 ($50.00) DOLLARS per member, per regularly scheduled meeting provided that attendance for each such meeting is a minimum of sixty percent (60/o) of the regularly scheduled meeting. Executive Sessions held as part of the scheduled meeting will be tised in coinputing the sixty percent (00%) test. The time of adjourned meetings shall not come within the sixty percent (60%) test. In no event shall the compensation per annum exceed that set forth in Section 16002 of the Public Utilities Code. Pursuant to Ordinance No. 7703, the number of monthly reg ular meeting's at this time is two (2). (b) No additional compensation shall be allowed for attendance at special m eetings9 cony mittee meetings, or any other District business. This Or dinance shall become effective thirty (30) days from the date of adoption. The D eputy District Clerk shall immediately cause a copy of this Ordinance to be published once in the local newspaper and copies shall be posted in at least three (3) public places within the District.
