HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 1980-28 - Board RESOLUTION NO. 80 28 OF TRUCKEE-DONNER PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT DECLARING FOUR RESIDENTIAL PARCELS UNNECESSARY FOR DISTRICT USE AND AUTHORIZING THEIR SALE WHEREAS, the Truckee-Donner Public Utility District is the owner of the four (4) parcels of unimproved real property described as follows: 19 Lot 9, Block 19, Lakeview Subdivision, Assessor's Parcel No. 17-300-26, located on the north side of Donner Lake between Reed and Donner Avenues (sometimes referred to as District Parcel A)-v 2. A Portion of Meadow Lake Park, Assesor's Parcel No. 18-591-06, located on Meadow Way 100 feet north of Rocky Lane (sometimes known as District Parcel F); 3, A Portion of Meadow Lake Park, Assessor's -Parcel No. 18-592-04, located on Meadow Way and Rocky Lane (sometimes known as District Parcel G); 4* A Portion of Meadow Lake Park, Assessor's Parcel No. 18-612-04, located between Ridge and Glen Roads east of Meadow Way (sometimes known as District Parcel J), WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has determined that such parcels may be capable of park or recreation development; and WHEREAS the Board of Directors believes that said parcels are unnecessary for District use and that it would be in the best interests of the District to sell the same., N_OW9 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee-Donner Public' Utility District as follows: it That the Board of Directors does hereby declare said four parcels of real property to be unnecessary for District use and may be capable of park or recreation development. 2. That the Manager is hereby authorized and directed to notify those public entities listed in Section 54222 of the California Government Code of the District's intent to dispose of said property and offer the same for park, recreation or open-space purposes at fair market value prior to such disposal. 30 That if none of said agencies notify the District within sixty (60} days after said notification of their desire to purchase any of said parcels, the Manager is authorized and directed to publish invitations for bids and to self the same to the highest bidder subject to approval and ratification by the Board of Directors.. The Board will not be bound to accept any bid which it determines to be below fair market value.. In accordance with the March 12, 1980, appraisal from Roger N.
