OF THE
TRUCKEE DONNER PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT
APPROVING THE PROPOSED NEGATIVE
DECLARATION FORTHE GATEWAY TANK PROJECT
WHEREAS, the District's Local Guidelines Implementing CEQA require
that the Board of Directors make a determination as to whether the
Gateway Tank project should be modified in accordance with the
mitigation measures specified in the Initial Study so the project
will not have a significant effect on the environment; and
WHEREAS, once such a determination is made by the Board of
Directors, District staff may file the preliminary Environmental
Assessment, proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study with
the County Clerk and provide public notice of and circulate to
other public agencies and the State Clearinghouse the proposed
Negative Declaration;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the
Truckee Donner Public Utility District as follows:
1. That the Board hereby makes the determination that the
Gateway Tank project should be modified in accordance
with the mitigation measures specified in the Initial
Study so that the project will not have a significant
effect on the environment.
2 . That the proposed Negative Declaration for the Gateway
Tank project be approved.
3 . That staff be directed to circulate and file the proposed
Negative Declaration in accordance with the District's
Local Guidelines Implementing the California
Environmental Quality Act.
4 . That a public hearing to receive comment on the proposed
Negative Declaration be scheduled for September 3, 1991
at 7: 30 PM.
Passed and adopted by the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner
Public Utility District at a meeting duly called and held within
the District on the 19th day of August 1991, by the following roll
call vote:
AYES: Corbett, Curran, Maass, Sutton and Aguera.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
