DEVELOPMENT ;FOR MANAGERIAL STAFF ............
WHEREAS, it is the mission of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District to provide a
high level of service to its customers; and
WHEREAS, that mission requires that the District employ a professional staff that is
competent and trained in utility district disciplines; and
WHEREAS, the District wishes to encourage its management staff to maintain its
competence by engaging in ongoing programs of professional development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner
Public Utility District that:
1. Each member of the management staff is encouraged to prepare a plan of
professional development aimed at establishing and maintaining professional
competence.
2. The General Manager shall review said plan with the relevant staff person and
approve a plan of professional development.
3. The District will pay for attendance at seminars put on by professional
associations and training groups that are directly related to District business.
4. If the approved professional development plan includes pursuit of a degree at
an accredited junior college, college or university, the District shall pay 50% of
the costs of tuition, fees and books.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors at a meeting duly called and held
within the District on the first day of March 1993 by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Corbett, Jones, Maass, Sutton and Aguera.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
