Resolution No. 2000=02
Amending Cash Incentive Program
WHEREAS, the District has been offering public benefit programs to its customers since January 1,
1998; and
WHEREAS, one aspect of the public benefits program involves providing cash rebates for the
purchase and installation of specified energy and/or water-efficient appliances and energy-efficient
building measures; and
WHEREAS, staff has recommended amending the program to encourage more participation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the cash rebate program be comprised of the following
appliances and building efficiency measures:
• Clothes washers - $50 to $100 per unit rebate based on meeting the District's qualifying
models.
• Refrigerators- $50 to $100 per unit rebate based on meeting the District's qualifying models.
• Electric water heaters $2 per gallon per unit for qualifying models.
• Ground source heat pumps - $200 per ton per District qualifications.
• Energy-efficient building measures — 10% of the cost of qualifying measures installation,
maximum $500 rebate per project unit.
• Building energy performance diagnostics- $100 per"total home evaluation."
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of directors at a meeting duly called and held within the District
on the fifth day of January 2000 by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Jones, Maass, Sutton and Hemig.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Aguera
