Resolution No. 2000=24
AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE TRUCKEE FALLS GOLF COURSE IRRIGATION
PIPELINE PROJECT AND DIRECTING FILING OF THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District made the
determination to construct the Truckee Falls Golf Course Irrigation Pipeline; and
WHEREAS, the contract was awarded to Longo Incorporated of Alpine Meadows, California, and
the contractor entered into an agreement with the District to perform the work; and
WHEREAS, the District's Water Engineer, Neil Kaufman, has recommended that the work be
accepted by the District;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the District as follows:
1. That the District hereby accepts the Truckee Falls Golf Course Irrigation Pipeline Project as
complete.
2. That the Clerk of the District be directed to file with the County of Nevada the Notice of
Completion, a copy of which is attached hereto.
3. That 35 days following the filing of the Notice of Completion,the 10%retained from the contractor
payments be released to the contractor if no claims have been made to the District by materiel
suppliers or laborers.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors at a meeting duly called and held within the
District on the 15t'day of November 2000 by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Aguera, Maass, Sutton, Van Gundy and Hemig.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.

Proclamation designating October 1 through 7, 2000 as the 14t`'
annual Public Power Week
WHEREAS, the customers of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District place high value on local control over
community services and have therefore chosen to operate a community-owned, locally controlled, not-for-profit
electric utility and, as consumers and owners of our electric utility, have a direct say in utility operations and
policies; and
WHEREAS, Truckee Donner Public Utility District provides both residential and commercial customers with
reliable, efficient and cost-effective electricity employing sound business practices designed to ensure the best
possible service at not-for-profit rates; and
WHEREAS, the TDPUD is a valuable community asset that contributes substantially to the well-being of local
citizens through energy efficiency, customer service, environmental protection, economic development and
safety awareness; and
WHEREAS,the TDPUD electric utility's first and only purpose is to work in partnership with its customer-owners
to fumish an essential public service and the best customer service to community citizens at lower-cost rates;
and
WHEREAS, Truckee Donner Public Utility District is one of more than 2,000 other public power systems in the
United States that, through local ownership, ensure cost-cutting competition for electricity customers;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED that the Truckee Donner Public Utility District will continue to work
to ensure that consumers benefit from any changes in the electric utility industry,just as it has since 1927, the
year when the utility was created to serve the citizens of Truckee and the surrounding area; and
BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED that the week of October 1 through 7, 2000 be designated the 14"'annual
Public Power Week in order to make its consumer-owners, policy makers and employees more aware of its
overall contributions to their well-being.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of directors at a meeting duly called and held within the District on the
fourth day of October 2000 by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Aguera, Maass, Sutton, Van Gundy and Hemig.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
