Home My WebLink AboutRES 2002-30 - Board TRUCKEE DONNER Public Utility District 1 _J Resolution No. 2002- 30 Declaring certain computer equipment as surplus and authorizing staff to dispose of it in accordance with District policy WHEREAS, the District owns computer equipment listed on the attached as Exhibit A an d, WHEREAS, the listed computer equipment is not necessary for the District's use; and WHEREAS, the District could dispose of the computer equipment and utilize the funds from the sale of said assets for other purposes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors adopts the above recitals as its findings; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that,for the reasons set forth above, the Board declares the computer equipment listed on Exhibit A attached, as surplus property; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the General Manager is directed to dispose of said property in accordance with District policy. Some of the equipment is very old. Much of it came from the old IBM System 36. Many items are printers that have been fixed and fixed. At some point you just have to replace them because the new ones are so much cheaper. Many items are broken and are not worth fixing. RECOMMENDATION: To adopt a resolution declaring the attached list of computer equipment surplus and authorize staff to dispose of according to District policy.
