HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 1986-01 - Board r RESOLUTION NO. 8601 OF THE TRUCKER DONNER PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND CALLING FOR BIDS ON LINE PRINTER WHEREAS , the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District has determined the need tQ~purchase a line printer; and WHEREAS, funds have been set aside in the 1986 budget for the purchase of such a printer; and WHEREAS, the Data Processing Supervisor has drawn up appropriate specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District does hereby authorize the President to issue a call for bids based on the specifications attached hereto for a line printer, and that the date and time established for the bid opening is Thursday, April 3, 1986 at 2:00 P.M. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District at a regular meeting thereof duly called and held in the District on the 3rd day of March by the following roll call vote: AYES: Cooley, Corbett, Hamilton, Sutton and Maass. Printing speed - 600 lines per minute 2. 132 column printing on continuous form (tractor-fed) paper 3. Switch selectable 6 or 8 lines per inch vertical spacing 4. Switch selectable forms length 5. Band or drum style printer (not dot-matrix) . 6. Full length acoustical cover or similar noise reduction equipment 7 . 25 ' cable 8. Unibus controller/interface board 9. Fully compatible with DEC PDP 11 line of computers (especially PDP 11/34) 10. Eligible for DEC maintenance 11 . Printer stand and paper receptacle f.•. Your bid should include the cost of two installations; one at a temporary location and one at the permanent location. All bidders please answer the following questions and submit same with your bid: a) Where are ribbons and other supplies carried? (Nearest location - city , state , etc. ) b) In what location are parts kept ? ( State , country , etc. ) c) Does line printer have self testing capability? d ) Attach a listing of all standard and optional features to your bid. e ) The District would like to trade in its existing line printer (Printronix Model P300) . Would you accept it as a trade-in on this purchase? If yes , how much would you allow for the Printronix P300 Line Printer on trade-in? $ RG/smc
